Peter was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia over 40 years ago.
During his professional career, Peter has acted for many clients involved in business ventures, commercial dealings and commercial disputes.
Peter has also acted for and advised clients from the rural community who conduct farming operations. As part of this work, he has represented many farmers at farm debt mediations and in Court.
At the request of a member of parliament Peter drafted an amendment to the Conveyancing Act 1919 (NSW) to assist individual land holders who alleged that their property had been sold at an undervalue, appeared before a parliamentary enquiry to represent the interests of clients and recently represented a client before the Financial Services Royal Commission. Peter has also appeared before an enquiry into a local council to protect the interests of clients.
Peter has conducted many important cases which include but are not limited to: David Securities Pty Ltd v Commonwealth Bank of Australia [1992] HCA 48, Topfelt Pty Ltd v State Bank of New South Wales [1993] FCA 890, Westpac Banking Corporation v Hodgson Pastoral Co [1996] NSW Conv R 55,869, Gain v Commonwealth Bank of Australia (1997) 42 NSWLR 252 and Waller v Hargraves Secured Investments Ltd [2012] HCA.
